Federer Handles Wind & Soderling
 
Roger Federer mastered the wind and Robin Soderling at Flushing Meadows Wednesday night to set up a semi-final showdown with World No. 2 Novak Djokovic. Chasing a seventh consecutive appearance in the US Open final, Federer will look for a fourth win in the past four Opens against Djokovic, whom he defeated in straight sets in the same round one year ago.

Djokovic Into Fourth Straight Semi-final
 
Novak Djokovic charged into his fourth consecutive semi-final at the US Open after defeating Frenchman Gael Monfils 7-6(2), 6-1, 6-2 at Flushing Meadows Wednesday. Djokovic, who was runner-up to Roger Federer in 2007, fought off 11 of the 13 break points he faced, while breaking Monfils seven times.

Top seeds and two-time champions Bob and Mike Bryan advanced to the US Open doubles final with a 6-1, 6-4 win Wednesday over Spaniards Marcel Granollers and Tommy Robredo, extending their winning streak to 13 matches. ATP And FedEx Announce New Global Sponsorship
 
The ATP and FedEx (NYSE: FDX) have signed a three-year agreement that brings FedEx on board as a new global Platinum Sponsor and Official Carrier of the ATP World Tour. The sponsorship will launch at the 2010 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in November and extend through 2013.
